Ryan O’Grady is a Toronto-based producer and audio engineer with over a decade of experience in the music industry.

From contributing as a multi-instrumentalist during early production stages to refining the final mix as a mixing and mastering engineer, Ryan is known for his meticulous attention to detail and ability to help artists craft standout records. He has collaborated with a wide range of talents worldwide, including Max Fry (Rock – USA), Keynes Woods (Hip Hop – Canada), Elyssa Plaza (R&B – Canada), and MAUIMØON (Afro-pop – Africa), to name a few.

Awarded the prestigious master’s in music technology and digital media degree from the University of Toronto in 2021, Ryan honed his traditional audio engineering skills alongside Jeff Wolpert, explored creative applications of technology with Eliot Britton, and developed entrepreneurial strategies guided by Catherine Moore. His major project focused on the early stages of ambisonics audio and its immersive applications in virtual reality productions.

Ryan remains actively engaged in the music industry through his involvement in freelance projects, driven by the same passion for recorded music that ignited his journey years ago. Concurrently, Ryan plays a pivotal role at SOCAN, Canada’s prominent music rights organization, where he is entrusted with the responsibility of managing reproduction rights and synchronization licenses for an array of high-profile publishers. Ryan’s overarching ambition is to contribute to the evolution of the industry while leaving a meaningful legacy through his work.
